Onboarding: the first 7 days with an agent team

The first week is louder than the next month. Plan it like a launch, not a deploy.

The team will surface things you forgot to specify. That is the point of the first week.

A working schedule

  • Day 1 — dry run with 3 scenarios, no live actions
  • Day 2 — wire one specialist to live tools, queue everything
  • Day 3 — add the second specialist, review queue together
  • Day 4 — open one role to autonomous on low-risk tasks
  • Day 5 — first metrics review
  • Day 6 — HR Director proposes its first role-spec edits
  • Day 7 — write a one-page retro

If you skip the retro, the next four weeks will quietly repeat week one's mistakes.
