Brand voice in autonomous workflows

Brand voice is not a personality test. It is a set of constraints — words you use, words you don't, length, energy, formatting.

Most brand voice docs are aspirational paragraphs no agent can actually use. Make yours operational instead.

What an agent can act on

  • Banned words and phrases (with reasons)
  • Preferred sentence length and rhythm
  • Reading level and audience
  • When to use lists, headers, and bold
  • Examples of on-brand vs off-brand passages

Adjectives like 'bold but warm' are nice for designers, useless for agents. Translate every claim into an instruction you could paste into a prompt.
